Exhibition Showcases Programs and Technology in Quest to Attract Investment

China\'s One Belt, One Road initiative, entertainment shows and super high-resolution TV programs are in the spotlight at the International Film and TV Market Exhibition which opened yesterday at Shanghai Exhibition Center.

CCTV has displayed documentary films covering Silk Road and Marine Silk Route themes, echoing the national strategy of the One Belt, One Road development. The central TV station plans to organize a co-developed program production center with countries bordering and traversed by One Belt, One Road.

Firms from Xinjiang and other regions are seeking commercial partners during the exhibition for program production and new media development.

Entertainment shows are one of the exhibition\'s hottest themes, seeking to attract overseas firms to collaborate in the China market for investment in both TV stations and online websites.

The Endermol Shine Group, which has developed shows such as "The Brain,""Big Brother" and "Your Face Sounds Familiar," has authorized equivalent productions by Chinese TV stations. It has also cooperated with Youku Tudou to broadcast programs online.

In the device sector, top firms including Sony, Canon and Panasonic, are all showcasing 4K video cameras and broadcasting systems which produce super high-resolution programs. Some start-up technology firms are displaying 360-degree broadcasting systems using GoPro cameras that offer users basic and wider-view angles.

Online websites PPTV and LeTV are showcasing their latest programs and products, including a naked-eye 3D smart phone made by PPTV.

SMG\'s broadcasting vehicle equipped with 4K devices and systems is also on display at the exhibition center site.
