The Phoenix Institute of Omni-Media Launched Yesterday

The institute was established by Phoenix New  Media and Phoenix Satellite Television partners   with multiple media institutions and research organizations as well as media groups, film and TV companies and new media organizations to create a strategic platform that integrates academic and industrial resources.

Wang Jiyan, executive vice president of Phoenix Satellite Television and head of the Phoenix Chinese Channel, is the director of the Phoenix Institute         of Omni-Media.“The institute based on the omni-media concept should be open and active. It follows the concept and features of omni-media,” he  said.

The institute hopes to conduct researches and compile yearly reports, seek strategic collaborations under the omni-media concept, work on related product research and development as well as invite partners and media elites to share their experience at summits.

A forum following the launch featured six keynote speakers from the media industry, who shared their insight  into  today’s  media  industry  in China.
