As the 19th Shanghai TV Festival unveils its curtain, I would like to, on behalf of the General Administration of Press and Publication，Radio，Film and Television, extend warm welcome to all guests and friends coming from all over the world!

With the stable development of Chinese economy, the importance of culture has become increasingly prominent. As the name card, identity card and heading code of a nation in the process of globalization, culture is the soul and blood vessel as well as the collective memory and spiritual home of a nation, and the strength of Chinese culture is also gaining acknowledgement and recognition around the world. Therefore, It is our duty and mission to create a new culture that is not only rich in our nation\'s good traditions but also boasts distinctive features of the times, a new culture that not only bases itself on China\'s reality but also faces to the whole world, and a new culture that not only conforms to our national conditions but also looks into the future.

We are glad to notice that Shanghai TV Festival has been devoting itself to the internationalized development of China\'s TV enterprise, which greatly contribute to promoting the “Go Global” strategy of China\'s TV products, developing and leading the prosperous development of China\'s TV enterprise. As an earliest established comprehensive international TV festival in China, Shanghai TV Festival integrates awarding, market dealings, venture capital and forums, and has always been devoting itself to the communication of TV culture between China and other countries by taking an international horizon, a creative thinking and a professional mode of operation. This year\'s Shanghai TV Festival will grasp the development pulse of the industry under the background of cultural prosperity, gather resources of high quality and elites in the industry, follow an authoritative and fair awarding process while maintaining its speciality, internationality and perspectiveness.
