Programs on Sale at New Media and Equipment Market

All Showcased their Products  Hoping to Find Business Chances

A diversity of program genres targeting Chinese audiences and omnimedia production technology took the spotlight at the International New Media and Broadcasting Equipment Market that opened yesterday at Shanghai Exhibition Center.

At least 1,000 professional buyers, company executives and journalists attended the exhibition from more than 300 local and international organizations.

Including TVB, NHK and  Warner Bros., all showcased their products in the hope of finding business opportunities in the  market.

"It\'s an international stage for all of us to communicate and do business," said Wang Weijiang, the leader of a delegation of 20 producers from Taiwan China.

NHK also aims to penetrate the Chinese market with new documentary films like great nature studies and those focusing on post-earthquake reconstruction. "We have contacted top Chinese online video websites about broadcasting our programs online," said Hideaki Sakamoto, NHK\'s general manager of international sales.

In the equipment sector, omnimedia broadcasting has become a necessity for many organizations so the demand for related devices is on the rise.
