University Students’ TV Festival is to Open Zhang Jizhong and Lin Baoyi are to attend

 

As one of the special events in the 18th Shanghai TV Festival, the 5th College Students’ TV Festival will run from May 23 to 25. On May 18, a press conference was held to announce the arrangements for this year’s College Students’ TV Festival.
 
This year’s event includes a short film competition, 5-anniversary-award-winners exhibition, college student host contest, SIFORUM, and opening & closing ceremonies. More than 700 films from 107 schools will take part in the short film contest. Schools taking part include the Beijing Film Academy, Communication University of China, Peking University, Nanjing University of the Arts, China Youth University for Political Sciences, and New York Film Academy. Forty-two of the films will compete for 16 awards.
 
Two new units have been added to this year’s College Students’ TV Festival, both College Students’ TV Festival and 5-anniversary-award-winners exhibition aim at creating broader platforms for new TV talents and TV enthusiasts to display their original ideas. In addition, the micro-video contest co-sponsored by the China Communist Youth League Shanghai Committee and College Students’ TV Festival has managed to collect a good many original videos.
 
The 5th College Students’ TV Festival will be held on May 25 at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Art, at which Zhang Jizhong, Lu Chuan, Lin Baoyi, Lan Zhenglong, Zhao Wenzhuo, Jin Xing, Chen Zhipeng, Lin Yan, Jin Sha, and may other renowned pop stars will attend to announce the 16 winners. The Arts Humanity Channel is to record the whole ceremony and broadcast it on June 2 (Saturday) and Dragon TV is also to rebroadcast the event.
 

The College Students’ TV Festival is cosponsored by the Shanghai Institute of Visual Art and East Normal University with the assistance of 40 colleges and universities nationwide including Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University, Shanghai Theater Academy, Shanghai University of Sport, Nanjing University of the Arts, Hunan University, Southwest University, and Guangzhou University.
