The forum on “Countermeasures of video website: New strategy for TV dramas pattern of One Play for Only Two Satellite Channels” invited executive vice president of Chinese Teleplay Working Committee and national first-grade scriptwriter Wang Liping to act as the lecturer and discuss the changes on traditional TV drama patterns due to involvement of video websites. The radio and TV summit forum on “Overthrow and Regeneration ---- ‘Internet +’ media convergence” invited Wang Jianjun, director of Shanghai Radio Station and president of Shanghai Media Group Limited, Wang Xiaohui, CNR Deputy Director, Lü Huanbin, director of Hunan Radio and Television Station, Zhang Huijian, director of Guangdong Radio and Television Station to jointly discuss how the traditional radio and TV media enterprises could make use of Internet technology to accelerate convergence development as well as transformation and upgrade.

Golden Age of Animation and Documentary

Although Chinese animation industry has developed very quickly, it still lacks mature industrial support and resources of original creation. Being the birthplace of Chinese animation, Shanghai is also actively searching for domestic development and possibility of expanding the overseas market. The animation forum invited Tim Brooke-Hunt, chairman of animation unit of Magnolia Award, Masahiko Minami, president of BONES, Wang Chuan, director of “Kuiba” to talk about some new domestic animation companies with original creation spirit based on the theme of animation development and renovation. By means of analyzing and sharing past experiences and combining with operations at home and abroad, they will discuss how to seek most effective entrepreneurial model according to the characteristics of their own industry in the background of globalization.

The documentary unit of the forum will continue to focus on excellent Chinese documentaries in recent years and sort out popular documentaries at home and abroad in the past year. The forum is hosted by He Suliu, vice director of Department of Journalism and Communication in Communication University of China and director of China Documentary Research Center. It will also invite other relevant producers and channel directors such as Li Tao, deputy general manager of Docu China, to discuss the popular documentaries from the aspects of creation, channel broadcasting and audience ratings direction, etc.
