STVF brought its 6 animation projects to Cannes

As one of the overseas\' promotion efforts for STVF\'s Animation Pitching, 6 STVF\'s selected projects were shown at MIPJUNIOR of MIPCOM in Cannes this October. The 6 animation projects are Wind-chasing Boy, Peony Pavilion, Uron Yard, Kiddola, Paper Soldier and Home of Forest.

During the 2-day market, these 6 projects drew great attention from world buyers including tycoons like Cartoon Network, Disney, BRB and etc. According to the official figures provided by MIPCOM, the 6 projects received 250 clicks from over 120 buyers.

The is the 2nd consecutive years for STVF to promote its selected Animation Project Pitching in an international Platform. As one of world\'s most influential TV festivals, the MIPJUNIOR has an attendance of over 2,000 buyers and exhititors from all over the world. Last year, Babawo, another STVF\'s animation pitching project, arose BRB\'s interest and is now close to the agreement.

In addition to raise attention during MIPJUNIOR, STVF\'s 6 projects this year will be for a one-year online release in MIPJUNIOR ONLINE, which will surely have more attention from more investors.

"The Animation industry today has now been a complete chain but some parts of the chain need to be further integrated. The STVF is providing the platform for this integration by getting potential investors and buyers involved at the very beginning of project\'s innovation period and going through to the post production, distribtution and derivative products. The STVF\'s animation Pitching will be a place for communication between producers and investors. We hope, the platform can generate the real Chinese animation blockbusters in future and promote the animation industry of China." said Tang Lijun, STVF\'s managing director.

"Therefore, we will keep making our efforts on promoting the program not only locally but also internationally. By working with our partners such as MIPCOM, TIFFCOM, NATPE, we will bring the promosing projects to a bigger stage. Perhaps, we will have our own Disneys or Pixars."

The Animation Pitching 2010 will be held in next June during STVF. Signing-ups will be accepeted on www.stvf.com from jan 1, 2010.
