Another cup for STVF\'s Winner

Recommended by STVF, MAWEN\'S WAR was the latest winner for the Special Award for Foreign Drama of Tokyo International Drama Festival 2009. Two leading actors of the TV series, Lin Yongjian and Li Xiao, showed up for the awarding ceremony.

The success of MAWEN\'S WAR reflects the rising acknowledgement to China\'s TV series by the world\'s TV drama industry, especially that of Asia.

Some episodes of the Chinese TV series hit 2009 will be released in Japan\'s mainstream TV net this November while many other TV stations are negociating on distribution in Japan with the producer.

MAWEN\'S WAR is the 3rd Chinese TV series winner in Tokyo after NEW AGE OF MARRIAGE and SOLDIERS SORTIE withSTVF\'s recommendation.

"STVF will continue its efforts on exploring new overseas promotion opportunities for China\'s TV series in TV festivals, which will bring more of our TV series to the world." said Ms Tang, Managing Director of STVF.

She also said:" STVF now has been in partnership with Korea\'s Seoul Drama Fesival to recommend the TV series of the two countries to each other. And this kind of partnership will be applied on world\'s other TV festivals like Brazil since next year.

In the TV festivals\' high level meeting among Chinese, Japanese and Korean representatives,  great interest has been showed to promote futher collaboration among the three coutries, both in the production and distribution of the TV series.

A forum for three countries\' TV drama collaboration will be held during the STVF next year and some co-production projects are now in preparation.

MAWEN\'S WAR is co-produced by Shenzhen Media Group, Xinbaoyuan Movie&TV Investment Co.,Ltd and Beijing Fulllink. Song Dandan, the leading actress of the drama won STVF\'s Best Actress this year by this series.
