Shanghai TV Festival Opening by Awarding Annual Outstanding Hosts in the Past 30 Years

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the birth of the TV host in China, the opening ceremony of the 16th Shanghai TV Festival will present awards to outstanding hosts past and present.

 

CCTV\'s first host was on a TV program called observation and Thinking on July 12, 1980. This year, a committee at the Chinese TV Association picked 85 hosts from 1980 to 2009, including 46 from CCTV, inlcuding Shen Li, Bai Yansong, Jing Yidan, Shui Junyi, Ni Ping, Zhu Jun, Li Yong, Zhou Tao and Dong Qing. Another 39 hosts from Dragon TV, Beijing TV, Jiangsu TV, Hunan TV are also on the list. They include, Ye Huixian, Cao Kefan, Yin Hairong, Wang Han, Meng Fei and Yuan Yuan.

 

The opening ceremony of the 16th Shanghai TV Festival and the Annual Outstanding Host Awards will be held tonight in Dragon TV\'s theater.

 

There will be a review of how hosts become the soul of their programs and also relections on the development of TV programs in China.

 

A forum on TV show hosts over the past 30 years will be held earlier in the day.

 

Experts will review developments over the period, analyzing the current status of TV hosts and discuss future challenges. Well-known hosts, including Bai Yansong, Cao Kefan and Jing Yidan will take part.
