The Opening Ceremony of the 15th Shanghai TV Festival

The opening ceremony of the 15th Shanghai TV Festival is to be held at the Shanghai Grand Theatre this evening. The opening ceremony party will be an integration in line with the theme of the Shanghai Expo 2010, reflecting nostalgic, classical modern and evolutional concepts and displaying the embracing-all readiness of modern Shanghainese.     

Foreign Friends Perform "The Four Classics".

How will a French friend Julien sonorously and forcefully sing the theme song of the TV play Journey to the West? Would you like to watch an American friend Award affectionately perform the well-known theme song of anther TV classic A Dream of Red Mansions? What will it be like when the English singing group vividly and inspiringly deliver the strength of the theme song A Song to Tough Guys of the Water Margin? All these familiar melodies of the famous TV plays adapted from the four classical masterpieces will certainly remind us of the bygone days. The year 2009 marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of the PRC. Actually, it is the thriving TV industry that has witnessed and recorded the development of China. Thus Shanghai TV circle should pay, on behalf of the Chinese TV makers, great respect to those classical TV plays which have been playing crucial part in the evolution of the Chinese TV industry. After the songs of the 1980s performed by foreign friends, there will be the exceptional Chinese singers Sun Nan and Mao Amin with their songs of the 1990s which will surely climax the atmosphere. 

Zhou Libo & Ye Huixian Talk about Classics
By this year, the Chinese TV has been journeying for about 51 years with glory of each times. What will the Shanghai comedian Zhou Libo bring to us in his stand-up comedy Chat about TV Bygones? This stand-up comedian of great popularity nowadays will present to us a list of classical "party songs" and talk in a comic way about the impact of TV culture on the basic life necessities of common people such as clothing, food, housing and transportation. To some extent, his show can be regarded as a TV culture tour made with reverence and amusement. Besides, this show will also convey our aspiration to make TV industry a greater success. In the following on-the-spot interview, Ye Huixian, Zheng Xiaolong and Qian Wen Zhong, respective representative of TV directors, TV hosts and TV scholars, will talk about their own expectations and visions of TV development while sending regards to their fraternity as well as thanks to the audience.  
    
Pleasant Goat and Hypon, Enjoy a Trip to Expo Park
The forthcoming world expo not only attracts people\'s attention, but it also arouses the curiosity of the popular cartoon character Pleasant Goat who, accompanied by actress Han Xue and mascot Hypon, will make a trip to the Expo Park. The Chinese animation film Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf meets with great favor this year and can be seen as a symbol for the re-rising of Chinese animation film. The performance by Pleasant Goat along with Hypon will undoubtedly light the audience\'s passion.

This part applies the advanced VR 3D animation technology, which displays the Shanghai TV doers\' confidence in technological advancement. The show will combine the imaginary cartoon characters with the expo venues in reality, providing the audience with an opportunity to know something about the Expo Park in advance. Meanwhile, Mao Amin and Sun Nan will give us another song, the song of the expo-Better City Better Life. Finally, the evening party will be ended in the cheerful melody Songs and Smiles performed by various singers with children from all over the world.
