Brainstorming in Media Industry

As one of the cores of Shanghai TV Festival, Magnolia Forum will be held from 9th June to 11th June. The forum will closely follow the latest trends of the international media industry. Global industry leaders will be invited to do brainstorming and provide forward-looking guidelines for the Chinese TV industry. The 2009 Magnolia Forum has two sections: the summit Forum and Seminars. 

The seminars will concentrate on various hot issues in different specializations of TV industry, and three seminars will be carried out in the main centre for the festival—Shanghai Exhibition Centre.

Sino-US Film and Video Forum will be a big event where direct dialogues can be conducted between top leaders in film and television industries from two countries. On the American part, the elites will include Cyrus Voris & Ethan Reiff (playwrights of Kung Fu Panda), Deran Sarafian (director, producer and playwright of House, Lost, Crime Scene Investigation), and David Warren (director of Desperate Housewives). The Chinese representatives will be the famous director, producer, and actor Zhang Guoli, well-known director Zhao Baogang, distinguished producer Zheng Xiaolong. The two parts will exchange opinions on characteristics of Chinese and American film & video production patterns and mechanisms, and discuss about the possibility for the two sides to learn from and cooperate with each other in innovation and production.
