On the afternoon of June 11, the 25th Shanghai TV Festival STVFORUM "Television Criticism in the Age of Media Convergence" was held as scheduled in the Central Hall of Shanghai Exhibition Center.

When discussing the changes of television criticism under the environment of media convergence, the participants said that the media convergence is affecting the overall pattern of television criticism. Therefore, television criticism is also transferring from professionalism to popularity, networking and younger, and the scope and boundaries of influence are also expanding.
Li Jingsheng, vice president of China Alliance of Radio, Film and Television, took film and television commentary as an example, and concludes that under the environment of media convergence, film and television commentary have undergone three major changes: First, the diversity of the subject of film and television commentary has expanded the content and methods of film and television commentary, and enhanced its social influence. Film and television commentary has become an important part of public opinion. The second is to break through the existing film and television commentary style, pay more attention to the novel and unique, the style of popularity and fashion, the humorous and witty words, as well as personalized presentation, making the film commentary, especially the commentary of the film and TV series have a stronger sense of pleasure in reading and greater space for dissemination. While discussing the impact of media convergence on the ecology of traditional reviews, participants and scholars also pointed out that the relationship between traditional comments and new style comments must be viewed dialectically. To a certain extent, online commentary can be replaced, but professional commentary can not be replaced. Li Zhenlin pointed out that there was no conflict between traditional comments and the Internet.
