The NAB Show featuring a world-class exhibition of cutting-edge new digital media technologies opened yesterday at the ongoing 23rd Shanghai TV Festival.

This year\'s festival is collaborating with NAB Show to create a media technology feast for international radio broadcasting, film, TV and digital media industries. It is also an official program of the festival.

Around 300 companies are participating to display their latest technologies and media solutions in the 20,000-square-meter exhibition halls at Shanghai New International Expo Center.

Ferdinand Stoer, NewTek\'s director of sales in Asia-Pacific, said his company is displaying high-quality video production and sharing technology with an IP workflow using "existing 1G to 10G to 100G ethernets."

An official from Noitom explained its product named Trance was "a software that speeds up and raises the quality of movie production." With Trance, directors and cinematographers can immediately visualize their production from the filming stage.
Originating in the United States, NAB Show made its debut in China in 2015. It offers media practitioners in China and the Asia-Pacific region an insight into digital technologies for media and business.

Among the films will be "Our Shanghai," the country\'s first city promotion video using VR technology, "Soul Parasite," China\'s first VR interactive film,

About 70 speakers from 20 countries will talk to their peers in China at the NAB Show GIX which will focus on topics such as innovative business models and technological applications in the global digital content ecosphere. It will also showcase the latest media technologies that are being developed and used in China.
