STVF International Television Cooperation Forum Releases Results
At the “New Situation, New Platform, New Opportunity”-International Television Cooperation Forum held at the Shanghai TV Festival on June 7, He Song, General Manager of Migu Video Co., Ltd., announced the launch of the first Sino-Russian Online Short Video Contest on behalf of the host.
The event was directed by the International Cooperation Department of the National Radio and Television Administration, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, and was jointly organized by China Mobile Migu and Russian SPB TV. Take this year’s STVF as an opportunity, China Mobile Migu cooperated with Russian SPB TV to host the first Sino-Russian Online Short Video Contest, aiming to strengthen exchanges and in-depth understanding of culture, tradition, and technology between the peoples of the two countries, especially the young generation, and providing a broader stage for Sino-Russian cultural exchanges.
At the forum site, Kirill Filippov, CEO of the co-organizer of the contest - Russia’s SPB TV, specially sent a video from Russia, saying that the epidemic has tested our values and allowed us to look at the world from a different perspective, and that the organizers of this event have reached this cooperation shouldering a special mission to promote the friendly relationship between China and Russia and the cooperation between the two peoples.
He said that there are good reasons for holding this event in the form of short videos. Short videos do not require too much professional budget. For many talented people, this is the perfect way of expression. Nowadays, to voice is no longer the privilege of big-budget industrial production. It is possible that this contest is the start of some people’s short video career.
In addition, China Radio, Film & TV Press and Huawei Video also signed the “Memorandum of Cooperation on Global Distribution of Premium Multilingual Audiovisual Programs”. In the future, the two will utilize their respective resources and technological advantages to divide labor and cooperate to tell the Chinese stories and enhance the international competence and influence of Chinese TV programs.
