The 30th STVF to Take Place from June 23 to June 27, 2025

The 30th Shanghai TV Festival (STVF) is set to take place from June 23 to June 27, 2025.

This significant announcement was made by Chen Guo, Managing Director of Shanghai International Film & TV Festivals, Co., Ltd., during the Shanghai Showcase of Screen Productions held at the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market on March 18.

Spanning five days, the festival will feature a variety of notable events, including the prestigious MAGNOLIA AWARDS FOR INTERNATIONAL TV PROGRAMS, OPENING CEREMONY, INTERNATIONAL TV SHOWCASE, STVFORUM, MAGNOLIA GALA NIGHT, MAGNOLIA AWARDS CEREMONY, as well as INTERNATIONAL FILM & TV MARKET. This eclectic array of activities will continue to provide a robust and expansive international stage for the exchange and mutual learning of global television culture, fostering dialogue and cooperation among television professionals from around the world.

Each festival extends an invitation.

During the event, Chen Guo announced that preparations for the 30th STVF have officially commenced. Currently, the call for submissions for the five categories of Magnolia Awards is underway, with the deadlines for foreign TV dramas, documentaries, and animations already closed. However, submissions for China TV Drama and Variety will remain open until March 31. The booth application portal for International Film & TV Market will remain accessible until May 31, encouraging both domestic and international film and television institutions to host various industry events that promote deep communication and cooperation within the sector.

The International Film & TV Market will debut in a refreshed format from June 21 to June 25, marking an upgraded collaboration between SIFF Market and STVF Market. This initiative aims to deeply integrate diverse elements from content creation, film and television equipment, AI technology, and cultural tourism into a comprehensive exhibition platform spanning the entire industry chain, including film, series, technology, and platforms through an international, pioneering, and interactive framework. It will build bridges for global film and television industry resource collaboration while focusing on charting new trends in industry development. Additionally, International Film & TV Market will introduce its first open-air market geared toward the public, to actively promote the deep integration and creative interaction of cultural tourism, commerce, and sports industries, engaging audiences with an immersive viewing experience while injecting fresh vitality into industry development.

Established in 1986, STVF is China’s first international TV festival, and this year marks its 30th anniversary. As the Magnolia Awards prepares for its milestone 30th edition, warm wishes and heartfelt greetings have been received from many old friends of the festival.
