The 30th Shanghai TV Festival Magnolia Awards Calls for Entries!

The 30th Shanghai TV Festival (STVF) will take place in Shanghai in June 2025. Starting today (December 9), the call for global submissions for the Magnolia Awards has officially begun. 

The selection of Magnolia Awards is devided into four main categories: TV Drama (including Chinese TV Drama and foreign TV Drama), Documentary, Animation, and Variety. Specifically, there will be Best TV Drama（China）, Best Director, Best Screenplay (Original/ Adapted), Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Actress in a Leading Role, and Best Foreign TV Film/Miniseries and Best Foreign TV Series/Serial.

TV Drama （China） and variety programs broadcasted from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, as well as TV Drama（Foreign）, documentaries, and animations broadcasted from March 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025 are eligible to submit on our official website: www.stvf.com.

The “Magnolia Gala Night” Nomination Awards Ceremony will be held during the 30th Shanghai TV Festival, where the awards will be presented to nominated entries and individuals. Additionally, at the Magnolia Awards Ceremony and the closing ceremony of the 30th STVF, the final winners will be announced and awarded the trophies and certificates.

In 2025, STVF will celebrate its 30th edition. For over 30 years, STVF has witnessed the birth of countless classics on screen, also the growth and transformation of TV professionals, accompanying numerous audiences through their youth and seasons of life. May TV professionals, whether in China or from abroad, create more profound and heartfelt works in the coming year, witness more touching and high-quality TV programs receive honors.

As it celebrates the 30th edition, the Magnolia Awards is in its prime in this milestone year. In June 2025, let us meet in Shanghai to celebrate the charm of Magnolia and indulge in a feast for the senses!
