The 28th STVF Announced List of Micro-short Drama Project for Roadshow

The 28th Shanghai TV Festival (STVF) today announced the list of the micro-short drama project for roadshow. After expert evaluation, a total of 10 micro-drama projects will enter the live roadshow. The roadshow will be held at 13:30 on June 22 at the Shanghai Exhibition Center.

In recent years, the rise of online micro-short dramas has generated a new online audiovisual form of art. Amid the trend of niche micro-short dramas, the industry is making efforts to promote the high-quality development of the micro-short drama industry, with the philosophy of “micro but fine, short but sophisticated”.

In the new environment of changed audience needs and viewing habits of audiovisual products in the new era, the micro-short drama project aims to integrate social resources, support micro-short drama talents and upgrade micro-short drama creation by capitalizing on the platform advantages and industry leadership position of STVF.

This programme has received positive responses from creators and strong support from TAP TAP under MIGU, China Mobile, Tencent Video, Mango TV, Kuaishou, Tik Tok, Youku and other parties.

In the preliminary recruitment, a total of 229 valid projects were received for the micro-drama project, of which 117 were for the script stage and 112 for the production stage. Through expert evaluation, a total of 10 projects will participate in this year’s STVF Micro-short Drama Project Roadshow. The roadshow will give an overview of these projects.

For this roadshow, STVF will also invite industry experts to comment on the projects, to support the creators of micro-short dramas and drive the development of the micro-short drama industry.
